I am in the market for a new bike, to ride on the trails in Whistler and take it in the park a little bit. I am going to be moving to North Van in the fall, and of course I want have a bike I can ride on the trails on the Shore when I get there.

So I kinda have settled on the Norco Six Three. Any thoughts on whether this will hold up? I am a girl, weigh about 145 and don't hit big jumps really (yet). I want something I can progress on, after having been riding around on a hardtail XC for the last year.

Thanks guys!

You will love the Six. Excellent bikes for riding up and down. Excellent company to back it and the price is right. Specwise is quite nice, you can upgrade as you progress and see fit.

Enjoy!

MY bullit has been great for shore applications for over a year. Still kills it at whister (any bike does is good at whistler though).

Bike of choice for shore for me would probably be the nomad.

The 6 is a great bike too. The one I rode was a very stable nimble bike. Although I really dont like the angles much for freeriding.,

My wife and I both have Six's. They are great bikes for what you're doing. Excellent geometry, they pedal very well, and are backed by awesome local customer service. You can't go wrong, and it's probably the best bang/buck bike out there.

If you can scrape together a few more bucks for the Six-2 you get big jump up in parts spec for a bit more $$. Shop around too. I've seen shops selling Six-1's for the same price as the Six-2 lists at.

+1 on the Six. I picked up a 2005 Six from Cypress and its been great. Great freeride bike and performed surprising well on the Lost Lake XC trails (which are mint) over the weekend.

See if you can find a used Sinister Splinter. They are incredible bikes and you can set them up to do whatever you want to do. I have ridden mine on aggressive XC trails, raced it downhill, and love it for any kind of FR application.

The Norco 6 does sound like a good choice, though.
