I tried the Nokian gazzie jr's 2.6, and 2.3. Tires. I thought them much better than the mobster/highroller combo I had befor. But honestly , when I spent the cash on the mich.'s I have to say I wont be trying anything else. They're all I'll run…

Michelin 2.8s are the best tire ever and ythe 2.5 is great also as a rear tire or for smaller tires.

Yea, Dan's Michelin was bloody amazing. I'm still shocked at how it could grip to that wet wooden loading platform.

Michelin is a great tire and you can't go wrong with it.

I rode 3 styles of Michelin now:

1) 2.8

Great all around tire. Perhaps too large and heavy for racing. The tire can roll when going around corners fast.

2) 2.5

Michelins best tire. This tire has more grip than the 2.8 (yes it does). The knobs are smaller than the 2.8's which makes its softer (all DH tires use the same tire compound). It may not last as long but who cares. It also corners amazing.

3) 2.5

Had this on the back for a bit. Felt ok but I liked the Maxxis Mobster 2.7 better. Wears a little too fast for me for a rear tire. I'm riding a $25 2.6 Stout in the rear and can't notice any difference from the Michelin.

I have a 2.5 Maxxis Minion DH ST ready for my next front tire. It was recommended by a pro racer (KG) from JH. Tread pattern looks good and the knobs are really soft.

I like to experiment with front tires as its so important for the shore.

Maxxis or Michelin are good choices IMO.

My Maxxis Mobsters were good, but they do wear fast.
