Selling both my mountain bikes, just wondering what kind of success you guys have had at different times of the year.

Seems like spring has been good in the past. Any thoughts?

springs seems to be the hot time as there are more people looking - but there are also more people selling. winter seems slow as there as less people looking but there are also less people selling.

I think at the end of the day it comes down to how desireable your bike is and how much you want for it. At any given time of the year and for any given bike, if it's priced well it'll sell. You get to choose between a quick sale and less cash or a higher price but probably having to sit on it longer.

Chromag Wide-angle and Banshee Darkside, both kind of niche bikes.

Might be tough.

Yeah, you might not get more than $1000 for the Wideangle. I’ll be nice and toss you an offer of $1100.

;)

Hardtails are often in demand near the end of the season for winter riding. Spring is the bigger market, with more people selling and more people buying. I don't notice prices changing a whole lot though. It's just a difference in how long it will take.

Spring by far, April/May. I sell a bike or two every year so I know from experience, need to find the people looking to 'try biking this year'

I have a DH I need to sell but not going to bother until bike park opening is getting close. Unless any of you want a large 2018 top of the line build gt fury for like $2000

This post is a sitting duck for being hijacked.  Not by me though, I don't have a bike to sell this year. I only have a 29er pike and a set of oozy spank 345 wheels in 27.5 that someone might want to buy.

What was this post about again?

Best time to sell your bike is summer for me, cause is starting to get warm & is easily  for people to hang out, at least in my area.
