Best Saddle of all time

Been through a bunch of different saddles over the years. WTB, cromag, SDG, Selle italia etc.

Recently they re-released the 1990 selle italia flite saddle. I used it back in the 90's but it was discontinued so I was forced to use other saddles after the leather would no longer stay on my last flite. To give you an idea of how great this saddle is, I switched from a Cromag titanium trail master and instantly felt as though my hardtail got 1" of travel. I could remain seated on bumps that I used to have to get off my saddle for. I realize the saddle is "too road" for lots of MTB riders but for any who want an amazing performance saddle - give this classic a try. I ride everything from shore to XC on my Ti Honzo and have now stocked up on these beauties for the next time they decide to discontinue them.

My old Fi'zi:k Nisene II Sport was the most comfortable saddle ever. Moved mine to 3 different bikes. My butt misses your tender caress Nisene :'(

WTB Volt with standard padding is the comfiest modern saddle I've used. Wish I owned one.

SQLab. I got my sit bones measured and it turns out every single saddle I've ever owned was too narrow, which explains why in over 20 years of riding I've never had a favourite saddle until the SQLab 611.

Lol. Well it turns out I have the second narrowest sit bones. Just one step wider than the typical widths from WTB or Chromag. Dudes with 150 or 160mm sit bones must be gorillas.

The original Flite was an awesome chair. Mine wore out and would bottom out rather suddenly on the top of the seat post head and I replaced it with a carbon shelled Flite that was super cheap. Fuckin contraceptive device that was.

WTB Deva or Chromag Moon. 

Keen to measure my sitbones and order a SQLabs saddle.

where do you get one of these fancy SQlabs saddles mate?

SQLab is online only as far as I can tell.  I think I got mine free shipping IIRC. I measured my sitbones at 11cm, added the 2cm for 'mtb position' and ordered a 13cm 611 active with carbon rails (they were on for half price!)  Showed up to my door in less than a week.  Immediately more comfortable than my Chromag efforts (Moon and Lynx), but will still take a bit of bum time to get totally dialed in.

The saddle  you like, the wtb works fine for me, right now I use either a yeti branded WTB or a real WTB

I don't think I'm that fussy for me  its not so much the brand but the setup, I like mine slammed all the way forward/slightly nose high,

a cycling coach even commented  "you look better on the bike with that setup compared to when you had the saddle flat"

Had a Trailmaster DT on my previous bike that I liked. New bike last year came with SDG Fly. Used it for 8 months but it was too narrow for my fatass. Just put a Fabric Scoop Shallow (142mm) which is their medium profile. Pretty happy so far, tilted it slightly nose down to combat junk numbness on long seated climbs.

SDG Falcon for me. My ass loves it.

Specialized Henge for me.  Would love to try out an SQlab, all reviews point to solving numbness

where do you get one of these fancy SQlabs saddles mate?

I borrowed a friend's for a couple of rides to confirm that it felt ok. Then I went to Obsession and used their sit bone measurer thing (non-invasive) and figured out I needed the 140. So that's what I ordered and I've been super happy with it.
