I think I'm done with those rental units from Bicicletta with the foam blackened with grease.

Saw a couple rollers at Dunbar but didn't investigate. What're you using?

I am sure there are other decent options, but the Ironcase is the most bombproof case I have ever seen or used. It has been around longer than anything else for a good reason. I have had mine for over 16 years and have never had ANY issues with a bike that I traveled with it. I would look for a used one as they are not cheap.

They are great, would be my first choice but to bad it's heavy. With a mountainbike you can be overweight. I have an old dakine.

I haven't personally used any bike bag, however i've heard only good things regarding the EVOC Pro bike bag (not the cheaper one).

It was either giant or kona cuz that's what the dealer sells where I got the cardboard boxes, I think the giant box was slightly bigger

For a box I like my http://www.bikeboxalan.com/shop/It has a pipe that fits in the middle that keeps it from compressing.

For a softcase the Pika http://pikapackworks.com/ is a really nice option. These are custom so made to fit even the biggest of DH bikes.

Pretty happy with my Evoc bag. I've had it for 5 years and have gone on numerous trips as well as lent it to other to use. Still going strong, no one zipper malfuntion, tear, wheel broken, etc.

More than I can say for my Air Canada branded luggage after 2 years.
