Ok…. This is a rather stupid question, but I cant figure it out. Bar plug's similar to these. How the hell do you get them out? Is there a way to take them out easily in one intact peice? Or am I spose to cut at them untill they fall out. Im trying to save myself a 40 minutes drive to the LBS to get some for the new bars.
Bar Plugs/caps/ends
Pry them out with a thin screwdriver. Replace with lock-ons with screw in expansion caps or something similar.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
my dads work bench always has a drill handy so i drill a hole in the center of the thing, stick a screw driver in there, and just pry the fucker out.
thinkin bout bikes
Thank you, I was trying that at first and it wasnt working, but I just tried again and got one out, I had to stick it in under one of the flanges that were further in.
In my case, I put in new ones, go riding for fifteen minutes, crash twice, and when I get home they are gone. This seems to work every time.
