Here is the shuttle truck of choice, a defender 130. 5 people plus 4 bikes inside, or 9 people inside with bikes on a rack. Comes with a TDI diesel engine that gets 28 mpg.

My wife says "the bigger the truck, the smaller the penis"…
I've never asked her how it is she knows this, it just makes me laugh.
And, any truck you cannot lean over the bed rail and grab stuff outta the bed is useless.
Trucks are for workin', not admirin'.

That thing makes me feel guilty and a bit dirty just looking at it. If you even elect to take a ride in that thing, you are gonna spend extra time in purgatory for it.

I'm sorta surprised that no one has pipped up about a Unimog.

I've heard that you can import a Unimog from Europe for a pretty decent price.

Pic for fun:

I can be as lazy-assed as the next guy but I still like to pay for my downhill by peddling up. As I get older, I find I'm taking less and less offers for a free shuttle (and I get a lot of offers….must be the younguns' feeling some pity for the old geezer humping the big bike up the road).

Mind you, if the Unimog guy drives by on Vedder (haven't seen him in a long while….) I will still take the ride. Nothing like riding in a vehicle that looks like it might be at home driving on the moon.

And how much C02 was produced in making those balloons? And who picks up pieces of rubber when they pop?
