I have seen a lot of Fat Bikes ripping around my local trails and the web this winter. How many NSMBer's have Fat Bikes of have ridden one?
They seem like a fun bike to play in the snow with.
Come spring I am going to look for a cheap one for winter 2013.

NSMB Fatbike

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

I've had a thing for fatbikes for years but don't own one because my practical side has always won out. Rode a Moonlander in Squamish, borrowed bike. Yet to get to ride one on snow or sand, though. Photo of me on it taken by Morgan on the Full Nelson opening party:

there's this guy, Mitchell Scott, who totally loves fat bikes. He just wrote a great article describing how much he loves them.
I haven't ever ridden one, but they look pretty rad to me.

Where do you ride your Fat Bike?

Nelson/Castlegar area… same area that Mitchell Scott lives ironically. They are a lot of fun, but you can't ride them in the winter on singletrack like some people might believe. I ride mine primarily on logging roads and ATV/snowmobile trails that have been packed down a bit… once they get solid and you have a solid base you can ride these things in up to 6" of powder over top.

BikeCo in Pemberton has been posting pics and video of riding them up in Pemberton on their FB page.

The boys at DCC in Cumberland love them. Haven't tried one yet but to me it looks like just another way to get out and have fun on two wheels.

Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
