That's the big contact patch… also what makes them so unreal on the trail.

I could see on the dh they might be fun. But uphill?

They climb very well. Once again the big contact patch means you can stand and hammer and not lose traction and due to tire volume you get a fair amount of compliance. And they aren't all heavy pigs either.

A lot better than you would think. When you get a chance, take one for a ride.

Above 1 Mile Lake, Pemberton last winter. This was on icy hard pack snow that was difficult to walk up. (sorry about the huge pic, guess Blogspot save them that way)

Hope it's not a repost, remembered Frank "Schneidi" Schneider ripping trails on a fatbike when watching the vid above.

fat photos are fat. I just hooked up dual 27"ers at work today, and I still have to scroll for days.
