So far legit, and cheaper than CRC! One tax and free shipping is awesome!! Lately the duty/handling and 2 taxes on CRC orders is killing the vibe. A good thing never lasts.

I find it hard to pass up on their tires… Minion DHF 3C for $69 a piece and at my door the next day or two. Not dealing with shipping from a different country is pretty nice.

Canadian distribution is beyond fucked. Its a sad state of affairs when one can access the same parts for much cheaper than what a bike shop can get them for. Is it time for creative bike shop owners to go overseas and source parts for themselves? Put their names on some cheap steel hardtail frames so they can have access to OEM parts? If TBS can have access to these grey market parts I think it is wise for bike shop owners to start doing the same.

Would take a shop with enough money flow to order a whole whack at a time. So that gets rid of ~95% of the shops.
They'd probably have to just get one product scu/part too, so anyone that want's something special can get fucked.
Then they'd have to be able to turn all that stuff over in a year.
Basically if the average shop could actually do this, the cost of distribution in Canada would go way down anyway.
I devide my purchases pretty evenly between LBS and Online. I've ordered XTR brake set from TBS, and the price was absurdly low ($169 a side at the time?). I'm building a bike up for the GF and I was very close to doing a full XT kit from them, but the chain ring combo was a bit odd (38/28), so I ended up with CRC as I could get it all in one shop with the config I wanted. Same price, but I do prefer supporting BC businesses.
On that note I walked into Dunbar the other week and picked up a 26x2.3 TR EXO 3C for $67. Their TR 60a is $47. So if you have use time I'd does pay to shop around locally as well.
