Updated my Garmin 520 today. I use routes on the trailforks app when I go somewhere new. After the update the stupid little computer beeps at me every 10 seconds to tell you to turn right or left for every turn in the trail! Anyone else have this trouble. I ended up disabling the tones but there was also issues with the route guidance / directions.
After the update, my 520 tracked the whole ride and seemed to save as usual but actually did not save the ride.
I updated my trailforks app last night and things seemed to be back to usual.

If glitchy after an update, you could try a hard reset.
First, backup all the folders in the Garmin directory on the 520 to a computer.
To perform a full reset of the Edge:
Finally, restore the backed up settings from your computer.
Do people really rode on the Shore with bar mounted GPS’?
I’d be afraid that it would last a single ride.
I have a handheld in my pack for when navigation gets dicey or Trailforks on the phone for easy stuff. I wouldn’t mind a bar mount as it would save me from stopping and opening my pack when I’m in the middle of an unknown area at a fork.
