Anyone have a Alu Norco Range?

Can you tell me how far you can insert your seatpost, on my wife's small 2015 Alu model, it looks like there should be close to 22cm but only getting about 17cm (which aligns with the bottom of top tube), I'm curious if there could be any issue with slight deformation or if thats normal? it looks like there is a stop around the 22cm mark. If anyone would care to measure how far in they can stick their seatpost it would be appreciated, even if they have medium or large, it would be useful for comparison.

Cheers!

call john henry and ask one of their sales hacks to measure it, or email norco directly?

17 cm? What's wrong with that? I guess what your saying is that you can't drop the post sufficiently from pedaling height because the post is already inserted so far and drop is limited? Cut the bottom off the post and make a new min insert mark? Excuse for a dropper?

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

The stock 100m dropper doesn't get out of the way enough for her so was looking at at 150mm dropper, but it needs to go all the way into the frame to give the correct pedalling height at full extension.

The 100mm that came on the bike has the same lower length as the 150 ks lev. the current post has about 2 inches exposed and won't go in any further. Just curious as it stops right at the bottom weld of the top tube and internally looks like its smooth for those 2 extra inches.

A 5" reverb has a shorter lower length so that's the next best option if the 150 is a no go.

p.s. if anyone is looking for a cheap 100mm dropper (KS e-ten with remote), 30.9mm dia, let me know.

I will look at my gf's tomorrow. Fwiw, she is 5"8, using a 150mm reverb stealth on a medium range.

Is it internally routed? Could the cable be the problem?

I can insert the stock post 213 mm on my large Range and that is approx. 40mm past the bottom of the top tube. I looked down the tube and noticed that there were 2 small holes drilled that center around the top tube and my post does go past them. These holes may have a burr on them that is preventing your dropper from going down any further.

Thanks, if you're getting that then looks like 17cm seems about right for a small, we'll step down to a 5" reverb which provides a bit lower seat height at minimum.

Pretty bush if the seat tube didn't get reamed as part of the fab facilities post weld machining.
