Sweet hayzeus, who runs an 11-32 these days?! 1994 called and wants its cassette back.
Dammit man, my PG980 is 11-34!
:lol:
srsly tho, I took the numbers off what I'm currently running in an effort to be able to climb with my all mountain bike. I'm running a 36t up front, but those new 40t Raceface units are sexy.
Im a little confused at how you came to your gear ratios, but my math might just suck.
10-spd with an 11-36T cassette and one of RaceFace's new narrow-wide 30T rings might be do-able as well?
I think my math is right. It's the rear gear divided by the drive gear.
So with a front cog 30t with an 11-36 should yield a ratio of;
11/30 = .36:1 and 36/30 = 1.2:1 for a range of .36-1.2:1
The 30t front really messes with your overall ratios. This setup tightens your gears compared to running an 11-32 with a 34t front. Imho, you're better off going with a larger drive gear over a smaller one. The longer lever should allow you to put more torque into each pedal stroke.
