getting the top shock bushing out of a rocco shock? That sucka is in there good. The knew one has a visible break in the ring and a tiny gap, do you try and split that with a flat head screw driver? I attempted to tap it out with an old drum stick that had a good taper but no budgey. Shops are closed now other wise i would bring it there and i need to ride!!

Socket set. Find suitable size. Put large socket on back side. Hit smaller socket with hammer (or better still put whole assembly in vice) so that old bushing falls into big socket. Done.

Don't impact your shock with anything. You should press it out with a vice and an appropriately sized socket. If the socket is the tiniest bit too big though it will either gouge the bore and/ or face of the eyelet or you may even stretch the bore so a new DU wont' fit properly. Bring it to a shop. They can get it out lickety split.
