Im getting a new bike but i havent really decided on parts, so far i have:
-[HTML_REMOVED] 2007 SX Trail 3 Frame in Rust - custom order :damn:
-[HTML_REMOVED] Hope Mono M4 203mm front brake and Mono Mini 180mm rear
-[HTML_REMOVED] Fox 36 Float R
-[HTML_REMOVED] Shimano Saint 175mm
-[HTML_REMOVED] Mavic CrossMax XL Disk or Easton AM Havoc's

And bascially from then on its kinda crappy. I need some suggestions for parts… :P

new xtr looks nice…. get that as a drivetrain.

Yeah, the XTR M-970 are pretty sweet. The whole crank+bb assembly is only 750 grams. But on the other side, its $550.

well, it really depends what you are building it up to do and also what kind of bar/stem and all that stuff you want. the new sram X.9 is going to be fantastic, they bascially used a bunch of the technology from last years X.0 and made the new X.9, taking the old X.9 and labeling it as X.7. i'm personally going to get some X.7 stuff on my new hardtail i'm going to be building sometime soon. otherwise, the new raceface diabolus stem seems like it will be great, lighter than last year, and bars are personal choice, there are plenty of good ones. go shimano cassette though, shimano is still much better than sram in that area.
