I start snowmaking job at whistler on the 29th September. And need advice on boots to buy for the job. Iv tried on boots in nearly every shop and they all seem to be big and clumsy. I’m after something not so clumsy but that will keep my feet warm & dry and comfortable as il be in them 12 hours a day 4 days a week.

My wife has ugg boots. Yes, they are actually really amazing. I have the big clunkers that are warm but very sloppy. Hers were pretty expensive but have held up and are brilliant to wear.
Don’t you need rated work boots with steel toes? I hade a thinsulate lined work boot at one time that laced up high that weren’t sloppy at all, but I didn’t wear them in any real cold for any length of time. if you don't need a steel toe then the scarpas for sure
lota guys at the mines and out in the bush use the purofoot ^^ its safety rated has a grippy knobby block pattern sole, with thick socks or bama's its warm & comfy because its foam not rubber ...i like mine
I'm using the same RedWing boots as above; but the non-insulated version.

This - ask them and buy the same. Don't worry about you perceptions about what's right or wrong.
I have found scarpas to fall apart with prolonged wear and tear, but that is not in a snowy work environment.
I like my muck boots, with a steel toe. They are a bit clunky, though quite warm and not too heavy. They are great to sled in. And I can fit a bama sock inside.
Go find Tobias, he's lift ops mgr, and ask him what he wears.
You've just signed up for a difficult job, but the people who have been doing it for a long time will steer you in the right direction, listen to them.
