This should get you started. I make no claims on quality, I haven't ordered yet. Will pick some parts up after Winter vacation, and play around with pissing people off at night.

Haha…your da best man :rocker:

Each watt of Cree led has the potential of 300 lumens.
I think they make five watt leds. Thats 1500 lumens.
Ten five watt leds has the potential for 15000 lumens.
Ect ect.
They run at four to five volts so you need a transformer or a wack of lithium ion four volt batteries.
Simple math.
btw if you ran your whole house on cree leds. You would save a lot of power.
Ten five watt leds on your car would blind the crap out of other motorist.
i suggest twenty five watt leds for a nice round number of 30 thousand lumens.

common sense…..Whats common about sense?!

I suggest skipping LEDs altogether and going with something more cutting edge that can produce a petawatt burst of laser output and even create antimatter.

And the beast part (spelling intentional) is that it can vaporize impassable trail features that only advanced riders can master.

Those multichip leds leds are popular in the aquarium hobby. Built one out of a better quality 150w @ 4.5A cree version and an old cpu heatsink for my planted tank a while back. It is insanely bright.

Picture spam:

those are old and inefficient, cobs (chip on board) are the new shit. the cree cxb 3070/3590 chips are the new overlords in the diy grow scene right now, blasting out [HTML_REMOVED]200lm/W when driven at low current and using high bin chips

some cheap chinese cobs, they emit a lot less light, only 90lm/W. you could output similar results with just half the wattage or less (but invest more, for sure)
