I have a beautiful old rocky altitude that has good parts except the fork a marzzochi atom 80 that needs overhaul including new bushings. Suspensionwerx has no bushings…
Help…. still love the bike for a little ride around…. any idea how to fix this problem.
Suspensionwerx said they could build me a fox that would work for about $300…. any other ideas? The cartridge is fine in the fork…. just needs new oil, seals bushings… Looks like the atom 80 is a 2000
Thanks

There's probably some good reason why these can't be made work, but mentioning just in case…

get some .002" shim stock, cut a rectangle size piece and insert it behind the bushing. remove any sharp edges with wet and dry paper. I did this to a 98 z1, 4inch travel. worked like a charm.
