I have been reading about putting a longer stroke shock on a 2014 trance giving it 20mills more travel.I was wondering if anyone in Nsmb land has tried this. There is no clearance issues, but I am concerned about the bb height being lower.
2.25 stroke shock on a 2014 Trance
Maybe I'm dyslexic but if a longer shock stroke requires a longer i2i doesn't that push the rear axle down lifting the bb?
Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.
^ no
7.875 x 2.0 and 2.25 both have the same i2i
only difference is the sealhead on the inside to limit the travel/stroke to 2" when it bottoms
Yes, seem a number of people that did this on my brother. I was still running a front d when I switched shocks so I stayed with the 2.0. Wouldn't run a 2.25 with a front d.
FWIW I ran a longer stoke shock on my 2010 Reign that worked just fine.
