The first ride on the 2.6 trails and they were really good. Nice and grippy despite super slippery conditions and more compliance.

Surly Sunrise bar sans brace. They definitely feel a lot more compliant without the brace.
Got the Mk7 to a point where I can sit on it, confirmed it's the right size. I'm excited to get her built up over the next couple weeks and she should be ready to roll when the ground is dry!

Oooh. Love the gold headset and spacers. Also like the tire choice...alt-riser-bar gravel adventure bike build?

I'm going all out with the gold - gold headset, spacers, seatpost clamp (eventually), cog, chainring, chain, BB, and tubeless valves. I'm probably going to swap the tires to Mezcals, but I've run those G-ones for a long time and they have a surprising amount of grip for what they are!
I'm aiming for Adventure Klunker. Something that wouldn't look out of place ripping Repack.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted my Naked in one of these hardtail threads. Still adore the bike. Usage is about 50/50 with my Spire. I’ve significantly upgraded the braking power from 2pots with 180/160 f/r to 4pots 200/180. That’s a controversial modification due to the increased stress it puts on the rear of the bike but it’s transformed my confidence on it in the settings that I ride.
The carbon FS rigs will come and go but the custom hardtails are for life.

OK...that is going to be a sick sick ride when you're done. That frame colour with all the gold parts and a pair of Mezcals...chef's kiss.
Tristan that bike is messed up.... in the best way possible.
Seymour Sunday.

Sweet machine! I don't see the controversy over the brake spec - is it outside manufacturer recommendations or something?
Seems like a totally normal brake setup to me.
The builder has concerns that the rear end, specifically the hardware holding the wheel on (it’s ss compatible), isn’t strong enough to support the loads of significantly beefed up brakes. If I bust something back there I’ll send it to the builder to fix. Still a wicked bike!!!!

The swinging dropout? Gotcha.
Couldn't find a rigid option to replace a 140-150mm fork, so put down a deposit on something custom. Not likely it will be a full-time thing, but I wanted to try it for some bikepacking plans this summer. Now I need to decide what mounting options I should go for.

All of them, of course.
