zappa would be one of the zerode or that type of derailleurless bikes

Zappa would be the dope-ass muni setup. Period.

I was hoping for a more radical update.

The head tube length increases with sizes. Up to 125mm for an XL. I know this is a common theme for you to bring up.

Also speccing 170mm cranks in all sizes.

I guess we can all wait for the 2018 Enduro with BNG and metric shock sizing. :|

You mean down? The head tube length on the previous XL Enduro was 135mm. And while it gained 5mm of reach it lost 8mm of ETT so really the cockpit shrank and shifted forward on a bigger wheelbase. The BB is also remarkably high, which makes the 170mm cranks an odd choice.

I was expecting a more significant cut in profile. Ultimately it's an elegant update to a proven design - can't fault them for that.

There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.

Keenes bike check shows how short the headtube actually is. Dudes running the 29er with a 170mm Lyrik and a whole whack of spacers.
