Yeah I think I'll go to Lordco tomorrow for a giant hex.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Come on RF…. 16mm hex wrench for the crank puller cap? Really? Who has one of those kicking around.
Shimano Saints and ZEE cranks require a special tool , 5/8 will work if they don,t have a 16mm there is only .004" difference in size between the two .

Yeah, but the Shimano tool costs what five bucks? Or a half inch easy out works as well
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Thx… obviously didn't think of that option. BUT, why use 16mm in the first place? What problem does this solve over the old 10mm puller cap?
Bigger axle = bigger bolt. Plus the older small aluminium crank bolts were known to strip threads if you didn't use a steel bolt to install the crank, and then just use the alloy one to hold it in place. Bigger everything = good times.
treezz
wow you are a ass
Picked up a 16mm hex socket bit at Lordco. Ghetto doesn't fly in my workshop.

Wasn't intended as a permanent solution, but if you were in a pinch late night in the garage.

Yep. I appreciate that. If it saves a ride then its all good.
Just picked up a 30mm RF spindle, and was stoked to see a 16mm adapter tool in the bag!
