This article has me drooling over new stuff. Sounds like Shimano have some awesome stuff up their sleeves. The Fox rumours are what get me though. The thought of a 26er version of the 34mm chassis for heavy trail/AM usage is awesome. Although I hope they use a 20mm axle and not the lame 15mm one…

Anyone seen this article yet? Hopefully I'm not double posting…

Ride, don't slide.

Everything new sucks until it's old. Don't be a victim.

Am I just jaded or did anyone else not get overly excited by that?

There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.

Cheaper carbon wheels is something good. Not on Easton hubs though. Unless they have made them more durable.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

New "Saint" sounds great to me, definitely time for an update. Other than that…meh.

34mm xc forks make sense for challenging terrain and heavy riders. the 34mm 29er fork is a very dramatic improvement over the 32mm version, with only 1/2 lb weight penalty (much stiffer, no creaking crowns so far). nothing wrong with 15mm for me. a lighter 34mm/160mm fork would be welcome on wifey's nomad.

I have the 36 and I'm on my second creaky crown. I love the fork, but the crown issue is getting irritating and I'm only 155lbs. I do ride fairly aggressively I guess, but still. Never had that on my marzocchi 66 but than again they weighed 10 lbs.

are you riding your 36 with the 1.125" steerer, or the taper steerer?

Hell yeah! I'm stoked on the new tapered 20mm-15mm thru-axle that will handle braking forces well, but shave weight were it isn't needed.

1 1/8, but they never creak at the steertube, always at the sliders. Both times got them under warranty at least. Have a friend with a tappered steertube on the same fork and same for him always at the sliders…

They have issues beyond the pawl thing that's being warrantied?

Too bad…

You know what annoys me about this? It isn't the incessant splitting of the difference that goes on in marketing, it's the fact that Fox came up with a stupid idea (15mm axles) and now insist on using it on products where, increasingly, the justification for using it over the previously in place standard just doesn't hold up. Hopefully there will be a 20mm option, although I'm not holding my breath…
