Does the CS pivot on that Rocky count as LSR or what ever it is they call it?

no, because it is above the rear axle (on an fsr it would be below)

You going to like something else next week?

Really looking forward to seeing the full info and pics on the 2011 Devinci's. Wonder how they applied that new design to a trail bike.

Personally think the new '11 offerings from Trek look amazing. The remedy and scratch are the nicest looking do it all bikes out there.

I've owned and/or ridden a fleet of different bikes and consider my 09 Remedy to be my perfect do-it-all bike. If for some crazy reason I decided reduce to one bike I could see myself on a scratch with an adjustable travel fork and an airshock.

You can all go to hell. I'll be joining you shortly and I'm bringing beer and cheetos.

Was that Totem you picked up 1.5? Ouch if it was.

Tapered is hear to stay, budget new upper/crown/steer assembly if you own a 1.5 fork and plan on upgrading frame in the future.

Yup that is what mostly fueled my frustration seeing as how I plan to switch frames next year, but having ridden a full 1.5 HT for a couple seasons now I really feel more confident looking down at a burly front end when dropping into the gnar. I know I'd get used to tapered and probably not even notice it after a few rides so a moot point I suppose, but what would the interwebz be without some more bitching [HTML_REMOVED] moaning about new standards :)

Until everyone conforms to the new standard, then they'll switch back to straight 1.5"

1.5" is for DH bikes with dualcrown forks to allow angled headset cup geometry adustments and tapered is for long travel singlecrowns. Tapered is lighter than 1.5" (including the stem and headset) but the fork steerer/crown interface are far stronger than straight 1,1/8th.

Makes absolute sense.
