When replaced with wheels that will actually hold up under humans who weigh more than 80 lbs and ride something other than pristine asphalt, complete bike weight is probably more like 28-29 lbs.

Well I'm hoping they've stiffened up the rear end and made the bike a bit slacker and lower. The fact that the Six and LT are gone from the line up suggests that it might be so. The LT felt too tall and noodly IMHO.

What year LT? I have only experienced the 09, and the back end on that is incredibly stiff. I'm running a Roco Air, not the standard DHX, so that could have something to do with it. As for the tall remark, it is a little taller than other bikes in the same class (eg: Reign), but I get far fewer pedal/bash ring strikes riding technical terrain.

Why do you say it's a long wheelbase?
Purely based on observation and speculation, no facts whatsoever - I just think that it looks really long in that picture. It may be due to the position of the crankarms though. Usually the drive side crankarms points at 3 o'clock which makes the bike look a bit shorter. In this case the crank arm sits at 9 o'clock so the front end looks a lot longer than usual. Hope this makes sense, the picture is messing with my perception! :)

Fair enough, my impression was based on an '08 LT so I could be off the mark with the 'noodly' accusation. As for being too tall, that is just a matter of taste. You do get better clearance with a high BB but I prefer my AM bike to feel more like my DH bike and as a compromise I am ok with having to be more careful about pedal placement.
