Where the crap is the gas cap????
2010 Sea Otter New Gear Thread
those saddles look terrible. I never understood why SH put the tread on his saddle, I mean how often do you see DH racers sitting down in their race run?
it's got a Jackal hump!!
barf..
Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!
Nothing sums up my life's achievements like my stuffed corpse, suplexing a cougar.
KHS should have called their line of bikes DEROGATORY TO WOMEN. In blackletter.
Stokes for different folks I guess but the hump on the v10/nomad looks a lot more elegant to me.
You can all go to hell. I'll be joining you shortly and I'm bringing beer and cheetos.
I was racing xc back in the 90's and I remember noting more than normal breaks on the new, narrower XTR 9spd. My pops used to come to all the races when I was jr. and he would go on about "it's that new 9 speed" haha
Numerical data I don't have and I could be out to lunch, but is it fair to say that when companies first introduce something that is pushing the edge of tolerances that additional failures are possible?
I broke a lot of chains back when 9 speed came out, but it's hard to say whether it was the components, or a dodgy chainline, since I made the 8 to 9 speed switch when I got a new bike. I haven't broken a chain in a while.
That Foes looks like a humpback whale … no f***in thanks
:canada: :england:
I have never broken a chain. Ever. And I've hacked my way through some choppy shit that would make anyone wince.
I broken a few chains but its a pretty rare occurrence. I'd be more concerned about finicky shifting and constant adjusting. I would love a 36 tooth off the back but I've found 8 speed more reliable shifting wise and I don't know how 10spd will do.

oh Foes what have you done
Looks like they're fans of the Canucks Orca whale…
i honestly dont think i've broken a chain since i was on 8-speed..but back then i was using Shimano chains..
i've been on SRAM chains since switching to twist shifters.. and thats going back many many years…
yea i cant honestly remember ever breaking a 9-speed chain.
p.s. there was a time when Foes designs were second only to intense for pure sex appeal.. these days he's designs are stale/boring or downrite UGLY as is displayed in this latest creation..
anyone remember that one from a few years ago with the flames stamped into the main triangle..jesus was that ever nasty looking…
Don't think breaking chains is going to be a problem with 10 speed. The roadies have been using them for ages and the pro road guys put a lot of stress on their chains.
More problematic might be that the narrower 10-speed chains clog up with dirt easier.
That foes reminds me of downhill domination bikes, hahaha.
You can have kids, but like stocks, some fail big time.
oh Foes what have you done
