Ok so I broke down and decided to get a 2010 66 RC3 from hucknroll for $299. At that price, I couldnt turn it down!! So my question is, have the 2010 forks been plagued with the same issues that arose in 08/09? and does anyone have one and can comment on its performance? are they really plush? Its going to replace an 08 Domain 302. will I notice a big difference??

I've had one for most of this riding season and I love it. None of the issues of previous year, the damping is superb, extremely plush. You're going to love it.

No issues in your experience with the 2010 product, or the 2010 product as a whole? I've never tried the rc3 dampening system, nor any marzocchi for that matter….isnt it coil and one side and air on the other? Will I still need to swap a softer coil in like I did for the Domain?

You'll be fine. There is a coil in one side with an air preload. The air preload works well. A few pumps with a shock pump will firm it right up but still be supple.

Wow that good eh? I can't to ride it now! So I weigh around 145lbs with gear, I'm guessing I would have to run no air with compression wide open and no coil preload at my weight? Is it even possible to set the fork up for somebody my size without any modifications?

zocchi manual should give you some idea as to how much preload to run and etc etc for your weight range.

wow good to hear so many great things about marzocchi and the 66!! thats a great deal too leggatt! I cant believe the prices they were selling marzocchis at on hucknroll. Adam, where do you notice the improvements over the domain? stiffness because of the larger chassis and lowers? better small bump compliance? more plush? any tips for setup? I cant wait to mount that thing on now. Its gonna be killer on my bike.

Just purchased one to. That last $50 off pushed me over. Been thinking about it for about a week.

I was looking and decided I didn't need to spend the coin, but the extra $50 sealed the deal. You can hardly find a RockShox Dart for that price!

All reports I have read are that the RC3 is a very good damper and the fork is light. I am excited to see how it will perform against my Float RC2 FIT.

Ordered the 66 rc3 ti a few days back from huck for a smokin price then got a $50 off coupon for the next purchase after the fork was bought and shipped. I thought just for the hell of it I would ask to have the discount applied to my purchase. To my shock they put $50 back on my card. Got the fork for a grand total of $440 usd. Was going to wait till next spring but the deal seemed to good to pass up. My hands will thank me for going back to coil. Now just have to go pick it up. Anyone want to ride Galbraith this weekend.
