I agree Ken….I think it's fugly..I have had enough of screwed up seatube bikes. I guess if all you are doing is hucking and riding park you don't need adjustability…but a freeride bike to me means pedaling up AND then riding down…oh well…I am not their demographic…
why are there so many bikes that could easily have an uninterrupted seattube and don't? make it like this:

How is it any uglier than a demo, Norco, Trek, or a lot of other bikes out there. I don't think its the hawtest bike out there but its rather simple and curve for good reason. Not to mention it'll be one of the best made bikes out there, tubesets etc.

My guess is they have a kinked seat tube to avoid tire rub at bottom out. Of course that is easily fixed without having to bend the seat tube.

There are many ways to avoid that. Steeper seat tube angle is one way. Last time I checked the Iron Horse 7POINT and Turner Highline both had straight uninterrupted seat tubes and similar amounts of travel.

Similar amounts of travel, but widely different pivot placements. You think the engineers didn't try to straighten that seat tube out. A straight post with compromises in overall handling or a bent tube with optimal geometry and performance for that bike, take your pick.

Sorry, I don't buy it. Maestro is a DW knock off and the 7POINT had a straight seat tube. Giant either needs to sharpen their pencils and go back to the drawing board or the straigt seat tube wasn't a priority.
