Personally I think they'll live to regret going with house brand forks [HTML_REMOVED] shocks, especially ones that clunk and cause a line up at the repair tent… but hey, Spec no doubt has a building full of the best marketing and product managers in the business, so who am I to second guess them. They'll probably do just fine.
Give the shonky state of Fox this year, it would just be more of the same, but with an S on the shock not Fox.
I have been "told" that dealers of a sufficient size will be selected to have spare shocks in stock to cover any "first year" worries. You bring in broken bike, pay whatever the shipping/labour cost is to switch your shock, and ride away on a new one. When your shock comes back from Spec (they will be handling repair/warranty in the east), they shop keeps it to trade with someone else…..
In effect, instant warranty cover. Beats out almost everyone; and is the sort of thing you would hope to see with the purchase of a multi thousand dollar velo.
