the fender and seat on that 01 team DH is sick.

send them a pic of you riding their DH RACE bike off the roof of Rochester School…and ask if the crack is really a manufacturing defect.

They've come a long way since that 2001 model. I had the original green '99 VPS 1 (as did everyone else).

The new one looks pretty damn good.

i still think a clean bolt on Ti or carbon seat triangle would be ideal.

Bolt on seat masts end up weighing more. More hardware. More material to beef up the mounting points to get strength. And, more parts to get dirty and creak and groan when you ride.

You can have a lighter design by building that seatmast into the frame as one piece.

I have been told that the '07 Team DH went on a diet. She now weighs in at a hair over 40 pounds

Is it just me or does it look exactly like the '04 frame (geo wise)?

What's the difference?
I see a Roco shock, maybe on the park edition because you don't need a stable platform? I also see different brakes and chain devices, x-9 vs x-7, etc etc etc but the geo looks the same.

I wonder if they're dividing the ALine into two bikes, to fill the hole that the discontinued Shore style used to fill (DC fork, more DH-centric), until 06 when they made the Shore a heavy SC beast.

I have an 05 Shore, and if I were to buy another bike, it'd probably be that Shore Park (blue) one.

it looks like the a line park has code brakes also
