I have been rocking these on my DH bike since new, so going into their 6th season in the Bike Park….should I replace them as they have seen 5 years of abuse, maybe 5 good crashes on them, one a year…seen a few 10 foot plus drops, the one they had at the top of boneyard a few years ago…30-60 days a year in the park too….not 100% sure on what to do…

There's a small chance they'll fail from fatigue. Is not spending $100 worth the risk?

I'd replace them. I had the same bars since 2005 and retired them to a less-frequently ridden bike two seasons ago.

Aluminum bars = replace, as they could snap without warning.

Steel bars = will bend before they'll snap.

I run aluminum bars on my duallie, replace them every 2-3 seasons. My hardtail has steel bars (.243), still running they same ones from 2005 and they have seen a TON of abuse.

Hell yeah, swap those out for a fresh pair before another year in the park. You could push it but bars are one of those things that you don't wanna mess with. You can always keep an eye out for cracks and throw them on an AM/XC bike if you wanna ggetmore life out of them.

I retire parts based upon the severity of what a failure would mean. Derailleurs? Run them until they croak. Bars? Every two years minimum unless bike park a lot, I'd toss them after a good season particularly if you've crashed hard on them.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

dude, definitely replace….I had some bars fail on one of the drops on 306 in pemby a bunch of years back, managed to roll out and walk away, but seriously….replace those, now. don't eff around with the front end of your bike, when that shit fails, things can can very bad very quickly, usually without any time to react….hell, I just replaced my 2 year old fubars on my hustler last week, you ride hard, don't take the chance.

I replace every other season. Or if I put a deep scar in 'em.
Broken handlebars are bad news.

Cut em down so there's like 3.5" of grip space on each side, sell em on craig's list. New bars paid for.
