2000 Monster T Help.

I was planning on trading my 2002 Super T for a 2000 Monster. The headtube on the Monster is fulllenght, so will I need a drop crown? I own a 2002 VPS Shore, and I know that VPS have long headtubes. So is a drop crown a must, or how can it be done?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Damn, how much does a drop crown cost? Or any info about one. This fork is comming of a Bullit, the crown has about 1cm drop, thats not enough I'm gussing. How much drop would the crown need to fit the VPS?

Thanks.

They are like $600 from Marzocchi but you can get one machined or buy an aftermarket one for like $250

Ouch, I dont really have $250 to spend on it. Too bad, the Monster would have been sweet to try.

Be patient. You can find a Monster with a drop crown…you need to have a drop crown for any VPS bike due to the lengthy head tube. :)

Took me 4 months to find a drop crown for my monster.
I ended up trading a guy my flat crown plus cash for the drop crown.

Then I got my monster huge top crown
