1998 Super T

So I always wanted one of these forks. I'm talking about the hand-built fork that Wade and Vanderham and a few select others rode in Ride to the Hills.I would still lay down my cold hard cash in a second to get a ride on one, but it's looking increasingly like that will never happen. Hell, I can't even find a picture.

So to all those who might have ridden one in the last decade, what can you tell me about them? Did they ride well?

Maybe if I know that new technology has left these babies in the dust, I will be able to sleep at night.

I'm still rocking that orange z1 on my ht lol. My buddy had that super t on his BB7 way back then, from what I remember it was sick, but my 6 inch hayes brakes on my vps2 were also sick so who knows lol.

I remember when vanderham had that fork on his giant dh bike he bought off shandro in nsx4? That was the coveted setup for me

They weren't that good, and by today's standards pretty crappy. Hand made doesn't have to mean good.

I know that's what's so funny about it. I now know how crappy they were, but when your 16 and broke, that was the best thing going. Makes me laugh now.

I hav so much nostalgia for all that early Marzocchi stuff. The Mr. T with 4 inches on the original Stab?! What a set up!! :)

Yes I have ridden one, thanks. Old Marzocchis were over damped and under sprung. Compare it to moto forks, but Marz moto forks are pretty much the worst in that world too. I'm sure the newer Marz mtb forks are good and 1000% times better than that old crap. Every wonder why back then virtually nobody from the WC circuit rode one? What does that tell you?

does anyone in the world cup circuit ride marzocchi now ? hahahah. marzocchi had there best years of fork making from 04-07. any other years i wouldnt go near.

how many 2010 ones have you ridden yet?

A good friend had one in about 02 or 03. I rebuilt it for him and installed the the cartridges and guts from a 01 super T. We also went to heavy weight springs and played with the oil weights and height. It ended up being a really cool and well riding fork. I wish I could remember what happened to that fork.
