One-Up looks good especially for the price point
170mm dropper post recommendations?
Bike yoke revive. They make a 185 or a 160. Best dropper I've ever used. No problems and zero servicing over the past year. You won't be dissapointed

I'm on my second month with my Revive 185. It's definitely the smoothest action I've experienced. The lever is super ergonomic. I even managed to screw up the cable once and had to use the Revive feature and it totally worked. Amazing post so far. Apparently easily user serviceable, but I've yet to test that. I figure I'll do it at the end of the winter.

Saw this 175mm for $154 USD
Mine just died, won't hold air, not getting full travel. that is after 2 years, I did do some basic cleaning and re-lubing over that period. the link for a 150mm turbine is $10 cheaper than a oneup dropper......I did just order (as in today) a oneup dropper in 170mm

3 buddies using the One-up with no complaints so far.
I recently picked up the One-Up 170 Dropper and like it...a few setup issues but now it works great, time will tell how it works out long term. My Thomson was smoother with no issues for 4 years....but just not long enough.
I'm going to try the Crankbrothers Highline 170 on my next bike. It's absolutely not cheap but if Andrew likes it I'm intrigued.
I run a KS Lev Integra in 175mm. The older models had some issues with stiction but they seem to have remedied this issue. This is my second dropper in this model, I had the 150mm and upgraded to the 175 for more length. able actuated with lots of drop and seems to work well in all conditions.

I saw on a different website thread that the One-up is 165mm, not quite the 170mm they claim. Is this true?
It's true, I just measured mine. Mine also got stiff and stopped working after about 12 rides. I loosened the seatpost clamp and it started working again (it was not overtightened, I have a carbon frame and am real careful about it). Now it's getting stiff again. It's either bending or deforming over time, I guess I run the post slammed so I can get away with the loose clamp but otherwise theres no way it'd be tight enough. I will likely need to send it in.... :(

I've got two of the OneUp 170mm's (30.9 and 31.6) and they are both pretty slow near the top of the travel. Same thing, carbon frames and torqued just enough to not move. Let me know if you figure out a solution.
I did break a lever on my knee in a crash and they sent me a replacement that arrived in two days.
I ended up getting the One-Up 170mm as it was close to hand at North Shore Bike Shop along with the One Up remote. Really easy install compared to the KS Lev, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't need to install the shim so I could continue to enjoy the well thought out engineering.
It's a bit weird having a remote that feels so plasticky but it works a treat.
I run the, coil spring, e13 TRS+ 170mm on both my personal bikes. Awesome remote and 100% mechanical with nothing that can really fail (like anything it does get sloppy and require new key ways). An adjustable wrench, strap wrench, and Shimano cassette tool are all that’s needed besides hex keys for a full rebuild.
I recommend pre-stretching the coil spring and a bit of Slickoleum under the seal head for best performance.
