Has anyone used this sort of adapter to fit a new wheel onto an older bike with QR? Wondering if they create a weak point in the system.
I've also found ones like this, which seem like they might be more solid, at the expense of some added weight.
15/12mm to 9mm Axle Adapters
Mavic (and others) used the top type to convert their wheels for years with no issues.
I don't see an issue with them either way.
