With a clutch derailleur and non worn chain? Unpossible!
Fo rizzle. I didn't bust out the chain wear gauge, but he has close ties to "the industry," so I imagine it wasn't mangled.
Anyway, not saying the hype is fake, but the top guide doesn't add any friction if set up properly and a negligible amount of weight, and having to get off my bike to put a chain back on is unacceptable to me.
Hooray bikes!
Dropped chains happen, I believe its a result of the derailers clutch mech needing some tightening.
Had my LBS tightened it after 2 rides w/2 drops , it was A-ok after that for a month or so, then my guide arrived .
I hate finding out the hard way that some deraileur service is due (for me @ every 90 days) so I use an AMG guide to be safe.
I dont think I have ever used the bash (30T up Front) so as FullMonty suggests just a top guide would be enough, if your running 32 or lower (I thinkz)
I was sat on this for a little while but guessing you guys have all seen this:

Looks fancy. I was on a ride where a guy with a RF narrow/wide dropped his chain multiple times. I'll take the weight penalty of the top guide personally.
Im with you on this one, I'll take the extra grams to have a top guide, which on the Blackspire models has no contact with a chain

And Hope is entering the fray…. although they are generally VERY slow to market:
Hey Glade
You still satisfied with your One Up?
So Hope has joined the party, from that other website:

Yes… it has been flawless on my fatty. Good to see other options coming to market, but gotta think that OneUp scored big by being the first.
Wolf tooth also has one in the works, and they will be making it shimano and sram specific so no spacers:

Wow, I think that is now a market that is saturated!
I have had 3 more rides since it reported on mine, was very happy to have it for all the climbing I did in Squamish on Sunday. Still happy with the OneUp and nothing negative to report right now.
Jon-boy.
So excite. Just got shipping notification from OneUp!
