i need a four inch fork for my bike after ending my z3 last night. i like the fox 100 and i have a wheel for it but i was also thinking about trying to find an older bolt on qr 20 z1. what do you all think? i like the way the fox feels but i am wondering if it would be stiff enough with the smaller axel.

The Foxes are a very high quality fork…

I blew up my Z3 2 weeks ago and went for a Psylo XC, on the basis of price.

I'd get something with a bigger axle.

I heard you should't run 8" rotors with a standard axle…too much flex I guess?

I'd go for the Marz. I have never ridden a fox, so I don't know what they feel like. I'm just choosing the marz by virtue of the 20mm.

i've only tried the fox float fork, and even that feels super stiff, best feeling air fork i've tried, and i imagine the vanilla feels even better

i run a 2003 5" dj2 qr20+ and it works for me, but if i was building up a bike i might consider the fox

they have just told specialized to stop speccing their enduro, that have fox forx, with 8" rotors or they will stop supplying the forks!
So that would mean that 8" rotors on those forks is definitely out… if you want a warrenty!

I've got a '00 5"zq cr and i love it. Best fork I've ever had, has lasted a long time and has never had any problems at all since i bought it.
