Sometimes I forget about the lows of my existence here. But it is true so I'm sigging it.

Anyone put miles on the Michelin Stargrip yet? Hakkapeliitta's for your bike?

Those look really interesting and they are cheaper than Conti Winter Contacts. Hmm

VERY impressed with how my Clement Crusade PDX 700x33's have been performing - the sharp knobs bite right through the top layer and hook up quite well, and the tread pattern itself leaves plenty of room to evacuate snow and slush.

Tire of the year?

Forgot to update my purchase…Star Grip vs. stock Giant Seek tires

Got the Star Grips on Amazon for $37 each, almost half the price of the Conti Winter Contact, and been riding them for 3 weeks or so daily. I'm really pleased with the grip in the frosty morning rides and no concerns riding over wet leaves or anything else for that matter. Increase in rolling resistance is negligible to me. Well worth the purchase.

I wish drivers would think of the above.

This morning 5:00 am on 25th just before Lonsdale ave a driver "4 runner with a NS bike rack" went sideways blowing a stop sign and almost taking me out.

At the lights it was a 50/50/50 on if I was about to…

1. let him eat the nice warm steel cut oats I just made all over his windshield.
2. the break fluid all over his hood that I have in a hostler left hand side.
3…

I choose to 3.

Glare in silence while he ate 1,600 lumen's of FU

Anyone else notice it was slippery this morning?

Ate shit on my way in to work, hit some black ice, its been a while since I have gone down on the road. A good long slide after a roundabout. Road Rash, torn jacket and Sombrio shorts, cracked helmet, variety of bruises and bump, and some serious stiffness in my hips and back :-(

Totally my fault and I accpet my role in the events, simply riding too quick for the conditions. I should have known better. In these weather conditions be careful out there folks.

I am jealous I can't get something similar in a smaller tyre size.

Be careful out on the roads this morning all.

Walking the dog was a challenge. The cold snap then rain yesterday and near freezing temps last night have caused some dangerous conditions.

Yes, there are some really slippery parts where it doesn't even look bad until you hit a brake. Then its oh *[HTML_REMOVED]%$.
