if we're going from the evidence in the video, the driver likely to be fault because he didn't stop at the stop sign. cyclist (who is probably also thinking "what the fuck are you doing, you fucking moron?") yielded to the van that was passing through. he may have indicated when he was at the stop sign - there's no way of knowing from the camera angle because the van was in the way - and doesn't have to maintain his signal while he turns. so, if there was a collision, and the rider said he indicated, driver would be at fault
Being a cyclist on the road is not always about right and wrong - its also about staying out of trouble to avoid situations that can get you killed, no matter how righteous you may be in your mind.
i generally agree with this. but both were going so slowly that there was no real chance of injury, let alone death. if i was the cyclist and i knew i was in the right (i.e. i'd indicated and entered the intersection at the same time as the van) i would have done the same thing. if i'd been hit, the van driver would be able to give evidence i was in the right
