Are you taking one bag or two? Max weight for one bag is 50 lbs unless you pay the $100 extra for second bag. If you check two bags, they ding you, but waive the 50 lb limit … but still a max of 70 lb/bag.

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.
When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.
If checking it specifically as a bike the max weight limit is 70 lbs.
All normal bags have the 50 lbs limit. So if you are stuffing the bike in a hockey bag you need to keep the weight under 50 lbs.
Sometimes if you pack it into a big enough/awkward enough box, depending on what it's classified as, they don't even bother weighing it.

Waivers
No overweight or oversize charges apply to bicycles, provided they are within the following maximum weight and size limits*:
Maximum weight: 32kg (70lb)
Maximum length: 292cm (115in)
*Air Canada Cargo handles the shipment of bicycles that exceed the maximum weight and/or size limits listed above.
Chances are, if you're near the length limit, they probably won't measure it anyway.
