Also get a helmet cam.
Is there a helmet camera you would recommend? I think riding with one sounds like a good idea.

using the Contour Roam 2. got it for a great deal on amazon this time last year.
It is lightweight and has a small profile. Water resistant without the need for an extra case or cover.
Only problem with this model is when in low light early morning commutes it does not do the
best job.
Perhaps the Roam 3 model does a better job of this.
I used to live in London and I used to ride like that.
The sequence for change was.
1. I stopped riding like that
2. I stopped living in London
3. I moved here
Anyway I am not sure when the article was written but I assuming it is around November 2013. Looking at news reports from that time and more recently almost all cyclist deaths in London are as a result of collisions with trucks or buses. Regardless of the writer's aesthetic of war on the roads these large vehicles are objective hazards that should be avoided much like one tries to avoid objective hazards in the mountains.
Which reminds me we have a new government so maybe we will get some truck safety improvments
Shredding hypothetical gnarr
As a full time bike commuter I can agree with every comment and observation Mark Twight made.
He accurately describes what i do to survive in traffic with cars.
Sorry if my riding or his advice annoys motorist.
I just want to ride my bike. :fruit:
