Gas or electric? Been buzzed a couple of times by 'electric bikes' coming across the Lion's Gate and on the causeway. They really don't leave much room when they rip by at 60kph.

for the record all e-bikes sold in Canada have max speed of 32km/h

close one side of the bridge when cycling commuters are at a peak. Brilliant!
Thank god I can put my bike on the bus rack.
If you are climbing perhaps you should let the person going down hill have the right of way. Meh Ill just take the bus.

No that is not how it works on the IWB. There is a sign on the south end stating that riders going in the direction of traffic (south) have the right of way. Passing someone coming the other direction isn't so bad now that most people have figured this out.

I luv peeps that obey sighns with blind faith. That works great if both bike lanes are open. BTW when both sides were open every second twit had no clue what to do.
Most people have figured this out? Take the bridge during rush hour.Well you can. Ill keep taking the bus.

Not to stir the pot, but I thought generally (in life) the uphill rider/hiker/unicyclist had right of way, as they were doing more work and it's pretty easy to accelerate on a downhill.

The bridge altitude profile is a rainbow shape. What happens at the apex?

Yeah, I guess switching the ROW at the top would be too complicated (no sarcasm). Other side's open soon, right?

I do ride this bridge during rush-hour almost every work day. Rarely have a problem with cyclists not following the posted right-of-way protocol. Seems to work OK on this bridge. Don't get me started about the scooter riders though.
