i know i know mec is the devil..but they are on sale right now. i used them on the trials bike all day yday. wicked warm. i broke 3 meta carpals 2 yrs back. leftie gets so sore in the cold. not with these on..:)

Those look interesting, been looking for something new to keep me warm in the winter. Be interested to hear how they last commuting.

They are for whit water kayaking so im thinkn they will hold up. At that price its an affordable gamble..

I use those gloves when working in the woods when it snows. They hold up very well for the price. They are thick, but I am still able to write with a pen while wearing them. Because they are neoprene they need to be wet to keep you warm. On a cold dry day they are not great.

129$? wow that is amazing. I got mine at biketiresdirect.com and thought 190 (all taxes in etc) was a good deal. MEC sells for 275$

Keep in mind that when I work in the snow around here it is usually -2 with wet sloppy snow, not cold dry snow. Would not be my first choice to use for -10 powder conditions.

Yeah that wet slop is also very possible up here in sept [HTML_REMOVED] october for forestry [HTML_REMOVED] surveying but by the time we get to -10 I would be skiing not working, I don't think much forestry gets done up here after Halloween

a few years ago mid october we did a seakayak trip into the north end of tweedsmuir at or around 0C , in the boat I was wearing neoprene surf socks and booties about 1/2 an inch of neo in total and my feet were still cold BUT bare feet and teva's were not cold

I have some SKS fenders, brand new, never mounted for sale. Bought them for $75+tax but I have 28 tires. If you have anything less, you can have them for $50.

I'm having a hard time finding skinny fenders for 26" tires. Most are wide for knobbies.

MEC should have them (Planet Bike). I'm sure I have a set I'm not using.

Yeah, the PB Hybrid fenders are the closest I've found, but they say they're for 700's.

Every time I see one of those I get an inexplicable urge to say "Arggg matey!"

I got some Crud Roadracer fenders and so far so good. It took a lot of fiddling to get them dialed, and I had to dremel down the front one a bit, but they don't rub at all now. I have to be a bit conscious of toe-overlap now though. It took a few days to get used to that.

Nope. Road tires skinnier than 25 only.
