Dollarton path in N Van is pretty sad too. Spits you into blind junctions of parking lot exit after parking lot exit, barriers in the middle of the trail, S-bends, cracked asphalt, big puddles in the rain, pedestrians etc.
Dollarton path in N Van is pretty sad too.
Nominate that one too?
Perhaps a full sus 29er will become the commuting norm. haha.:high:
Wrong. Always.
things are a lot better than they were , at least there is some " designated " place to ride , but sometimes i wonder if the folks who do the " designating " have actually ridden them .
i like the parts where it says " bike route ends " . . . what are ya supposed to do then  ?
Nominate that one too?
I looked at it on Friday … they seem to have fixed the surfaces somewhat, but if you want to get from A to B asap, the road is way faster. Its almost like they built it in mind for people who were taking leisurely bike tours of the light industrial parks of the Dollarton area.

Jesus!
That looks a lot worse than when I used to ride it in the '90's/early this century.
I remember those "intersections" well, only riding the section from Central Park east using Kingsway/Naniamo west of the park.
It could also use some decent lighting.
Tales of sketchy near misses with the hoodlums/perverts lurking along that path resulted in those of us working afternoons and starting our commute at midnight re-routing ourselves up 20th/GriffithsDr./Kingsway to avoid it.
Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

All of the 'separated' bike paths on the North Shore are geared towards recreational riders. It is extremely frustrating.

Ends May 27th.
I am surprised that PG only has 4 in there. The roads up here are shit.
Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

Not if you drive a truck with real tires and suspension.

I've ridden that route on my full susp bike and people on road bikes where having a gay old time. Ohh a crack in the road, my 13 pound carbon lance armstrong wiener extender might break:lol:
Clunking is for retards.
