Ya all the events are canceled up there this season. Luckily there are a lot of fun local events in town!

Ah yes the local events, so far 0 for 3 if you count the dual at race the ranch. Hopefully catch the next one?

I think if you are going you should put an extra day aside for Harper .
Why does sun peaks seem so obvious this year.

This year is so stupid for them, only from June 30th to September 5th. Last year they went until September 27th if I remember correct.

For the past two years we got about 5 or 6 days in during each September, I guess the extended season doesn't pay off for them. Unfortunately for us, September was the best riding time with amazing dirt and cool fresh air.

They need to change some stuff up and get a little more competitive, September was awesome last summer. Not sure if they aren't getting the money they need or whats up. Mountains take time to build and you have to keep them moving (adding new stuff) if you want to build up a solid customer base.

Lindsay and I are gonna be up there mid-week for a day or two. With a little Silverstar thrown in for good measure!

September is the best time of year to ride there. I've been out the last few years for weekends in September.

It would be nice if they stayed open later in the evening too. Its a lot cooler once the sun gets lower in the sky.

Cohen and I will be up there Fri, Sat, and Sun. We were thinking about Silverstar, but I think we'll wait for it to dry out a little bit.

Upper Pipe Dream, Double Dog and World Cup look like worst hit for mud/snow. Lower Shazam too, but that's always a swamp til late summer. Rock Star has a really bad section in the middle but otherwise good and fast, and the trail crew (god bless 'em, amazing folks) just cleaned up Superstar so that's minty apart from a little bit of grease on the first 100 yards. All the singletrack trails are in amazing shape and everything is running sick. I've never seen lower Double Dog and lower Flow be in such good shape, outstanding. Lots of tasty trail combinations to keep things fresh.

Despite that, Toonie Tuesday at Sun Peaks is definitely ON for shredding. :fruit:
