I guess if it ain't NBR it ain't worth talking about.
I can only speak about things I have heard of.
I will be talking about this now.
Are they putting in a lift?
So I hear. Will be open year round. trails are being built right now. Lift will go in next year…..or so I hear.
I am excited, however I struggle to imagine they can make money with a ferry in the way.
i gis'd it and the only image i found was your broken shoulder bryan
but on the website it shows a guy on a demo getting sideways… is this a coastal crew thing?

true :(
maybe they'll run shuttles from langdale

Never heard of it, who's behind the operation?
word has it that it was announced at the Coastal Crew's movie premiere.I heard trails are being built now. Its on FB so it has to be true, right?
If the Coastal Crew does have a hand in it, I would think the trails should be of a high standard.
Lot's of people make the day trip to shuttle the SSC, so if the cost of the lift is reasonable and as mentioned above,if a shuttle from the ferry was an option. Hell could be a great place for some off season riding. I would think slow days would be pretty slow. I would also think a high speed quad would likely not be an option…..

it would not surprise me in the least, if Gibson and may a little bit from Sechelt and the tourism board on the SSC were helping in some small way(or big). I would also think the school over there is in the mix.
But there isn't much gravity on the SSC ;) Bring a BIG BIG ring to hammer out the flat spots
Year-round bike park? What are the winters like on the SSC? I would imagine pretty rainy - wouldn't it be super hard to maintain trails in those conditions?
Because it sounds a lot like this?
Website is vapour so maybe when things get more concrete I'll get more excited…although ferry costs and availability can be big detractors.
build it, and they will come.
I think they showed some time-lapse video of it in the movie Arrival. It looked cool, but I'm not sure how they can maintain it through the winter or pay for its upkeep in the middle of winter (let alone in the middle of summer). I assumed the talk of "building a bike park deep in the woods of the SSC" (or something like that) was tongue-in-cheek.

Depends where it is, there's steep trails if you explore past roberts creek and gibsons
