This is a little preview. We'll have more on the Scratch from Moab Utah later this month - when we'll really get to punish it. I say we but I really mean me. Finally my Moab cherry gets popped.

I recruited James Wilson of Obsession:Bikes to do some espionage for us and here's what he thought about the Scratch...

Does that bike really come with a 142mm rear?

Seems to be a great bike.
With all those graphic applications and the extra remote cable etc. it looks a bit unsteady.
But the coil/air option is great and the travel/climbing ability also sounds spot on.

the 8 air would be slick with some SLX's and axe the joplin to save a little money/simplify it

(142= facepalm)

Just because I like boys doesn't mean I want to go out with Mike.

Interesting bike for sure! Curious how the 170mm rear and 160mm front balances out.

They also reduced the travel of the remedy to 150mm front and back which I guess puts it in the more all mountain catagory with this pushing into the freeride. What is the head angle of the remedy?

Looking to ride the shore but don't know where to go?

I think the Remedy sits at 66 degrees. In my mind it's pretty spot on for riding on the shore, slack enough for the steeps and steep enough to the tight stuff.

That's what I was wondering about also…why didn't they throw a Totem or 66 on the front?

Scratch looks pretty decent on everything but the graphics.

Remedy is 68 and feels a little small on the steep chundery parts of cypress.

You can all go to hell. I'll be joining you shortly and I'm bringing beer and cheetos.

How do you all think the Scratch will compare against the Santa Cruz Nomad 2?

Man,
my postings are always broken.

Only the first word(s) show up, the rest is always missing?
