Honestly, it actually is a pretty simple design when you think about it: it's just a single pivot and the scissor linkage allows them to put a huge shock nicely tucked away in the frame inner-triangle, out of harms way from dirt and rocks. They even manage a full-length seat-tube as a bonus! I bet this bike has great small-bump compliance. I like it!

Sure it looks unconventional, but I am sure it works like a champ. Brendawg will ride the crap out of it for a year and come this time in 2013, we'll be gawking at a plastic version. No big deal.
I'll add that it looks like the C'dale Hatchet drive, and should be similarly reliable - the forces of the shock go into the BB basement and not the TT or DT. With pro wrenches doing the maintenance, I bet it proves to be a great bike.

I like that staged photographs taken by a professional photographer and released officially by the company in question have become "spy shots" and "leaks".

Well said. The seat-tube is definitely kinked midway though:

The bike looks nice and low though. I am intrigued.

Its pretty obvious from this photo that the bike rocks. Just needs to be made from Carbon and win a few WC's and it will be a top seller.
