It sounds like Rennie has decided to move on.

Kathy Sessler has put together a nice tribute to Nathan with quotes from Rob Roskopp, Steve Peat, Greg Minnaar and more.

Where do you think he'll end up? Are his best results behind him or is there more to come from 'Renoir'?

Have a look...

The parting of ways as described by the newletter is way too happy happy joy. Lots of drama left out for sure.

At least SC went to the trouble of writing it. It's good to see a rider recognised and thanked by his / her sponsor rather than being just a disposable asset.

I can't really see SC wanting to cut him, he did pretty well in 2008

That news release is probably the classiest way to part ways with a team rider I've seen to date. Props to the Syndicate and Rennie for timely and informative news rather than bulletin board bullsh*t speculation.

really ???

i think Rennie has never been the top level rider he could have been..

i knew when Minaar got signed, Rennie would be cut..

he just doesnt put up the wins like other members of the Syndicate do…

dont get me wrong i think hes a great guy and a fantastic rider.. but when u slice the pie of TOP tier DH racers that win, he doesnt make the grade…

intersting to see who he ends up on.. im betting on a smaller company..

His three year contract with Santa Cruz was up and he has explored other options moving forward in his career and has chosen to race for another team

For some time now I have needed some change in my life, on and off the bike. I feel a change for me is for the best in all aspects.

I[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;ll have to cut the apron strings and let my boy move on, but Nathan will always be a family member to all of us on the Syndicate and at Santa Cruz Bicycles.

I didn't get anything in the release that says he was cut from the team. More like his contract was up and he decided to make a change.

I'm guessing and assuming the Monster Energy Specialized Team- he's gonna switch up his drink deal too……….long shot I know……

Morewood eh- that one I wanna believe. Evil would just be one two punching it with Steve Smith's recent swap………..

Ok, Rocky Mtn might be a shot too…….who knows.
