Videos of road bikes being shredded in all the wrong ways pop up occasionally. This is an especially rad example of freeroading.
Road Bike Party: The Wrong Tool for the Job
Is it the wrong tool for the job??
Light, fast and can shred smooth surfaces, seems like the rider was having fun.
But definetly wouldn't survive a lap down WBP.
ha! repost #2
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

The original article eared in DIRT here in the UK…
Qte £10k carbon road bike used by Team Skys Bradley Wiggins [HTML_REMOVED] Mark Cavendish for a ride with a difference. With a plan to push the limits of road biking as far as his lycra legs would dare, Martyn looked to get his ultimate ride out of the awesome Pinarello Dogma 2. This bike won the 2012 Tour de France ……"
Think it doesn't matter the likes of Ashton, Akrigg and MacAskill are so talented they could use any bike to repeat these skills
Some people are quick to forget it is more about the ridr than the bike. Having taken my 2012 Tarmac SL3 with Dura-ace C35 wheels up and then down Grouse at a pretty good clip, and ridden Bobsled on my CX bike with Easton deep dish carbon wheels, the bikes can take a beating.
It depends on the rider and what they can do. Think I will pass on back flipping my bikes though… ha!
dude needs to leave the spandex at home…
:canada:
No way, the spandex completes it. If he was wearing baggies it wouldn't have been as shockingly bad ass.
I sure hope he's sponsored…
Those who know him won't be surprised, but here's the reply I got when I sent this video to a buddy in the UK. They have this bizarre need to spice up the riding over there. Well done Darbs!
I sure hope he's sponsored…
Ha….yeah Martyn Ashton has been around forever and used to do (maybe still does?) trials shows at events much in the same way as Ryan Leech. If anyone likes old school stuff and has a spare hour (or just watch the 10min intro), this is a classic of sorts!
Complete with 'No Way' Rey, and Patsy Kensit on narration….
treezz
wow you are a ass
